Introduction
FREE ENTRY TO THE FAMILY EVENT ON CHRISTCHURCH QUAY ON THE 15th AND 16th AUGUST 2009
This year Christchurch's Carnival has a new committee of volunteers and the decision has been made to make the events on the Quay free entry this year and follow a more family orientated theme. For more information on the events and entertainment planned for this year please take a look at the relevant tabs to the left. So far this year plans to boast a Grand Fireworks Display on Saturday 15th August, a full and exciting Carnival that will leave Stanpit at approximately 3pm also on Saturday 15th and finish on the Quay at approximately 5pm, various stalls, a variety of food and drink catering on the Quay, local bands and entertainment and of course Coles Funfair!
In order to make the free entry a successful event we are calling out for sponsorship - for more information on how you can help please click on the Supporters tab on the left.
The committee are also hosting a number of fundraising events during the year including a coffee morning at the Mayors Parlour on 10th August, a quiz night at the Royal British Legion (date to be confirmed) and a Grand Draw which is offering a 1st prize of £250, 2nd prize of £100, 3rd prize of £50 plus many other prizes including vouchers for local shops, gifts and much much more. If you would like to purchase tickets for the draw this can be done on Saturday 15th August, at the Coffee Morning and other events hosted by the committee and also via email.
